Our Colorado Trip!

Last week, Adam and I flew out to Denver, CO to visit Will, Lauren and Kate.  After our arrival on Wednesday, we went out for sushi and caught up with everyone.  The next day, Adam and I explored downtown Denver via bikes.  We checked out the coolest REI store (3 stories high! Playground, rock climbing wall and a Starbucks all inside).  While biking down the green way trails we went over some pretty cool bridges and AP tested out his gopro.

We hopped off the bikes and enjoyed a rooftop lunch and beers overlooking downtown on one side and the mountains on the other :)  Pretty awesome view!

Thursday night, we went up to Keystone to stay for the weekend.  After a delicious Mexican dinner in Dillon we went to bed early to prepare for some early skiing/boarding the next morning.
The boys and I on the slopes.

Keystone is very family friendly.  Check out this huge snow fort with 2 slides in it!  We look forward to bringing our kids out here one day.  They have a great ski school program, face painting, a kids parade and etc.

Saturday, Kate and I shopped around in the Rive Run Village and then took the gondola up the mountain to meet everyone for lunch.

Hardly a cloud in the sky!   We enjoyed some rooftop refreshments before heading over to the tubing hill ;)

We all laughed so hard doing this!
We had the best time snowtubing.  Afterwards, we all went back to the condo and ordered pizza for dinner.  We thought about calling it an early night, but decided to visit the local bar, The Goat for a couple beers and some foosball ;)

Sunday was packed full of adventure.  Stop 1: Evergreen Forest for our morning hike.

Stop #2:  We continued back to Denver, but stopped to explore the Red Rocks Amphitheater.  It reminded me a lot of The Grand Canyon.  I know AP is hoping to get back for a concert sometime in the future.

Stop #3:  Brewery and Food Truck pit stop.  Weather continued to be perfect so we enjoyed the sunshine and some fried pickles, nachos and wings. :)

Stop #4:  Back in Denver to grill out and enjoy some backyard games.

It was an awesome trip packed full of family and adventure.  Thanks for having us Will, Lauren and Kate.  See you all in July!
The next morning, we were eager to get home and see our kiddos.  Thanks to MiMi and Granny, the kids were busy going to preschool, out to dinner and playing at parks to miss us too much!  Thanks again for watching our little nuggets and making this vacation happen!
