Ski Weekend with our 2 Tator Tots!

On our way to the mountains for our New Year's skiing trip, we stopped at the Mebane Outlets.  Daddy needed some new work clothes, so he shopped quickly while this little guy enjoyed the playground.  It was VERY windy and cold on this day, so we quickly returned to the car for our lunch picnic.

We checked into our hotel and went to one of our favorite restaurants, Cafe Portifino for dinner.  With full bellies, we went to bed early so we could have lots of energy for the slopes the next morning!
Big guy was getting pumped by playing with is "Ipad" on the way to Beech Mountain.
My little snowball and I bundled up and watched our two snow shredders all morning :)
Check out those gloves!  He didn't quite understand where the thumb was supposed to go and we went through about 3 pairs because he was obsessed with all of the snowballs and then he would be freezing.

Getting his lift ticket put on his jacket.  "Momma, I don't wan this sticker on my jacket!"  Too bad kid.
I just couldn't handle all of this cuteness.  Little man in ski bibs, helmet, snow boots and it got even better with his little mini skiis!  But first, he had to climb a "snow mountain" before he hit the slopes with his Daddy.
He started off in between Daddy's legs with AP showing him how to point his skiis.
Someone was happy that they could do it all by themselves!

No need for the ski lift when Daddy could pull you back up the "hill"!   The bunny slope area was perfect for our little man.  There was a gradual slope and a perfect area for AP and Will to work together.
Coming off the slopes for a snack :)  So happy with himself (so was his Daddy!)
After about 1 1/2 hours on the slopes, I took the kids back to the car to get warmed up and have another picnic.  They enjoyed the freedom (and the warmth) while Daddy hit the slopes on his snow board!

We planned on visiting Beech Moutain's sledding hill, but it was packed.  So we went back down the mountain and found some great hills at Lees McRae College in Banner Elk

Even little Parker and myself participated in the fun :)

We drove around Valle Crucis on the way home so the kids would continue sleeping (love that I have two car nappers!) and returned to the hotel to shower, change clothes and then we filled our bellies at Boone's Mellow Mushroom!  Perfect way to end our fun, snowy day!
