Wrapping Up the Holidays!

We tried out a few new Christmas events this year, as well as some old ones...probably planned too much, but it was fun!

Pullen Park's Holiday Express - definitely one of our favorite events this holiday season...so organized and fun!  Plus, we were able to meet up with Piscoriks and Clarks and ride the train and go sledding together!
Another tradition is getting in our jammies and riding around looking at Christmas lights!

Mimi took us on the Polar Express in Spencer, NC this year.  Daddy kept the babies so this just a big boy adventure.  The whole event was awesome- decorated train, hot chocolate dance, conductors hole punching the kids' names on their tickets (just like the movie) and receiving the bell from Santa at the end of the ride.  Definitely looking forward to doing this again next year!

Since we loved our Polar Express experience so much, we attended the Polar Express party at Barnes & Nobles a few days later.  Afterwards, we had treats from the bakery and did some shopping.

The kids' preschool hosts a Santa Social every year.  Caroline was a little unsure, but held it together (after all we have our favorite - Sandy Claus!)  They were able to make search and find ornaments, eat yummy treats and create other crafts.

There he is! Sandy Claus and Mrs. Claus came to our annual neighborhood Christmas party.  All four of our kiddos were excited to see them and ask lots of questions!
The donut truck at this event was pretty popular as well :) Delicious!
Cinderella went to the Christmas ball.  It was a cute production and was glad to revisit again after going several years as a kid.  The boys laughed a lot during the show and were on the edge of their seats. :)

Granny and Amy took W and P to see Ruldolph too!

Elfie finallly made his appearance and brought them their new Christmas jammies.

Gingerbread house tradition with Momo and Mimi. Apparently this wasn't the design Will had in mind?!

One night we rode the Santa Trolley around downtown looking for Santa.  Afterwards, we had a "doughnut party" as P likes to call it and enjoyed Krispy Kreme doughnuts.  We purchased a dozen and only had two left over.  Will and Connor are the doughnut kings!

Twinkies continue to be adorable and cute!

We had our annual small group Christmas party and Mr. and Mrs. Claus showed up again bearing gifts for the kids.  Adam and I favor this event over them all because it continues to be magical for the little ones.

Our 9th Kelly Christmas Tea took place at the O'Henry Hotel at the Nutcracker Tea.  I think Blair, Momo, Mimi and myself all had so much fun watching Caroline's excitement! Such a cute event and at the end the little girls receive a charm for their charm bracelet.

Christmas Eve service at PGUMC.  My shepherds were ready to participate and were great listeners throughout the entire service.
It was the warmest Christmas Eve we have had in a long time.  Obviously coats (or shoes!) were mandatory.  Off to Granny and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve dinner and presents!

Believe it or not, our crew slept in until 7:30 and our little princess had to be woken up at 8:30 because her brothers had tested out all of her loot.  We had some happy kids Christmas morning!

New Year's Eve we went to Greensboro and watched the Avett Brothers with the Walkers.  Such a fun night!

New Year's Day family bike ride and playground fun!

Since the weather was nice, we took off to Hyco for the night and enjoyed a night at the lake with Mimi, B and Momo.  Daddy and B were able to put up the swing set so that will be hit come spring/summer!

Oh yeah and we moved during the Christmas holidays as well!  Nothing like moving with four kids during the holiday season (and Daddy starting a new job) all over a span of two weeks! Its a fun and crazy ride, but we wouldn't have it any other way.  Looking forward to 2016!

Our friends, the Demacy's hosted a "Meet & Greet Cocktail Party" at her home and the neighbors popped over and met the whole teampfanny6pack!  2016 is off to a great start with lots of awesome changes under our belt!
