Halloweenie fun!

Halloween doesn't have be gory or scary instead it can be super fun and creative!  I love the month of October because it truly starts to feel like fall and my kids can start wearing the costumes (yes, plural!) that I purchase (or make!) throughout the year!  Lets face it, they are soon going to be too big and too cool for dress-up so I might as well encourage it and embrace it now before it is gone :)

Our neighborhood hosted its annual Oktoberfest and it is a fun family event.  Two bounce houses for the kids, a balloon artist and a pig pickin' for everyone to enjoy.

They were hot and sweaty by the time we left!

1st set of Halloween costumes:
Senor Will and his little pinata!
I saw this on Pinterest and had to recreate it, especially since W is really into pinatas lately (aka "pinchata")
 Hola Parker!

2nd set of Halloween costumes: Two pirates, a shark and a little whale
Can I tell you how much we enjoy our small group from our church?!  There are 8 families and we have had the best time hanging out together this year whether it is a Durham Bulls game, drinks at Lonerider Brewery, doing community service at GCF, bonding on a retreat and now a Halloween party!
The Hathaways had such a fun party.  We all commented on the festive foods, awesome decorations and of course the kids' games/entertainment.
The shark chomped on lots of good food :)

 The Clarks

 The Hazells

*I missed the family pic of the Walkers

Parker mastered bobbing for apples by just picking up the one he wanted...stinker!

All the kiddos going after the pinata candy.
Thanks Kyle and Sarah for an awesome evening!

This week we have a few more Halloween events so that means more costumes! yay!
