On our way to the NC Zoo, we took a detour and chose to explore downtown Pittsboro. The small town is very unique and artsy. It reminded both Adam and I of our college days in Boone and downtown Asheville.
Someone had recommended that we eat at General Store Cafe and it was amazing! We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed our omelets and hash browns. Since we had left straight from church, we changed into comfortable clothes and continued on our way to the zoo.
My two boys observing the alligators-isn't this a precious picture?!
Mr. Polar Bear was enjoying the sunshine this afternoon.
We did both sections (North America and Africa) today. Will was comfy in the backpack carrier and entertained by animals that actually moved and other people walking by. We couldn't have asked for a better day to explore this place, the temperature was in the low 70's and the zoo wasn't crowded!
