Adam and I decided to take a quick trip up to Boone for the weekend. Marshall and Ashley came along with us for some fun. It had been a few months since we had visited our old stomping grounds and it was neat to see what had changed in a short amount of time. New restaurants have opened, the HUGE stadium is finished and the temperature was a freezing 7 degrees while we were there! We quickly nixed the skiing/snowboarding due to the freezing cold and all the crowds for the long MLK weekend. However, that didn't stop us from hanging out at the Boone Saloon, shopping in downtown Blowing Rock and even a little geocaching around the ASU campus.

You have to admit that having the Appalachian Mountains around the stadium makes football games here pretty amazing!
Morgan and I geocached around town. We were able to find 4 pretty fast!
When we were leaving this morning, Boone was starting to receive a couple inches of snow. Maybe the precipitation will head this way~it would make for a fun day off from work!
