This was the song that was sung on our hayride this morning. My first graders and I visited Ganyard Farms in Durham for their first field trip of the school year. The kiddos were able to feed farm animals, climb haystack mountain, pick a pumpkin from a vine, enjoy a hayride, pick cotton and navigate through a corn maze. Shockingly, the kids still had tons of energy when we returned to school. You would think after running around for 2 hours in 85 degree weather that their little bones would be tired....not a chance! Whew! Ellen and I were glad we packed some extra diet cokes in our fridge for when we returned to school.
