We had another snow storm arrive last week. Storm Pax came through and left us with about 4 inches of snow, which shuts down this city. With 3 days off from school/work, this momma was as happy as could be! There is something about a snowstorm that makes me so happy. Maybe its the stillness or the fact that we were able to spend lots of great family time, play with our neighbors and sleep in every.single.day!
We were also able to use our snowman kit that has been collecting dust in our hallway closet for the last 2 years. We were glad to bust our chalkboard sign as well. If you are going to go all out, by all means, go all out!
For a solid three days, we would sleep in, play with friends, have family nap time, play with friends, neighborhood potluck/cocktails and then repeat. Awesome would be an understatement.
The Woodlawn sled bed made its appearance and was a huge hit for the kids and adults!
On the 2nd morning, we brought out the Baileys and had some snow cream martinis. Yummm. Its 5 o'clock somewhere and they were delish!
Safety first! All the neighborhood kids wore helmets :) Precious P loved sledding and riding through the snow in his wagon.
As much as we all loved the snow, warm weather will be greeted with open arms. Thanks for the snow fix, now bring on the 80 degree weather!
