Jingle Bell Ball, Breakfast with Santa & 7 YEARS!

Jingle Bell Ball 2013
Some of us from small group went to this event this year.  It is hosted downtown at Marbles Kids Museum.  Basically, you get dressed up, bring a $20-30 toy for the Salvation Army Toy Drive and you can eat, drink and dance with your friends.
It was super fun, a bit crowded, but we definitely hope to go back again next year!

Saturday morning, our church hosted their annual "Breakfast with Santa"event.  After gobbling down their pancakes, sausage and biscuits, Will was eager to visit the big guy.  Parker not so much.  He actually ran back to the table once he noticed what the line was for. ha!

It was fun morning at PGUMC :)

Around lunch time, MiMi and MoMo came over to tag team and watch the kiddos for the night so AP and I can have our annual staycation for our anniversary.  The big 7.  We switched it up this year and stayed at the Marriott in downtown Raleigh.
Meanwhile these kiddos were kept busy with building this gingerbread house and later went to see the movie, "Frozen".  I don't think they missed us one bit!
Every time we go downtown we are amazed at the variety of fun restaurants and bars.  Our goal was to try places that neither one of us had ever been to.  We started with lunch at Chucks and then some coffee at Morning Times.  (Hot coffee, conversation and people watching = Bliss!)  Then we walked over to Sitti for a Lebanese appetizer and finished off the afternoon at the IMAX watching "Catching Fire".
We ended our night by having cocktails at Fox's Liquor Bar and then dinner at Oro (my favorite pick of the day!).  After a wonderful nights sleep we grabbed some southern breakfast at Big Ed's in City Market before heading back home.  It was a perfect 24 hours of fun!
