Boat Ride, Beer Trolley, Break Dancing, Beer Fest, Bike Ride and Busy Bee!

If it started with a "B" we did it this weekend!  Adam's cousin, Will and his girlfriend Lauren came to visit from Denver and we wanted to show them a good time.  So Friday consisted of brunch, a boat ride and then the Trolley Pub later that night.  We had the best time on the trolley!  We peddled all over downtown Raleigh with our family, singing along to music and snacking on our pretzel necklaces (thanks MoMo!).
The kiddos spent the night with the Grimes family.  Will likes to call it a "tampover" (aka "sleepover).
Saturday, Adam and I took Will and Lauren down to Moore Square for Raleigh's Beer Fest.  The weather could not have been any nicer.  We had the best time sampling beer, eating some yummy Mexican and enjoying the sunshine.

We went back to Granny/Grandpa's house for some burgers and monster truck fun!  These two played HARD all day.  They raced, wrestled and laughed all weekend long.  The kid loves his Big Will time!
Big and Little W being silly!

Later that night, Granny had a birthday cake and Big W gave him some more train tracks, an elevator and some more trains for his birthday.  This kept Will (actually both of them) entertained and calm until almost 11 PM when we finally decided to go back home.  :)  We had the best time and look forward to seeing them again at the lake this summer and possibly Colorado this fall!

After our visitors left Sunday morning, we hung out around the house, mowed the grass, played with our neighborhood friends and went for family bike ride.  P rode on the baby seat on my bike and W chose to ride in the bike trailer.  We just rode 3-4 within the connecting neighborhoods and the boys did great!  We hope to hit up some greenway trails this spring and summer.

Sunday evening we went to Busy Bee for a friend's 30th bday.  Jon and Carie Page came back home to visit from California and Jon threw his wife a perfect little party last night. It was a great way to cap off the weekend.  We also look forward to visiting with them in August when we go for another cousin's wedding!

It was a fantastic weekend and we were able to do it all by having lots of help from our wonderful parents and the Grimes family.  We are very fortunate that they love to be with our kiddos and as a result, AP and I get to have adult time!  Wahooo!
