This time we spent the night and practiced our camping skills again. We just went for one night and you would thought we were going for a month by all the stuff we packed in the suburban and boat. It was a perfect weekend for boating and camping with the hot weather and sunshine! We also had lots of visitors come out and either ride on the boat with us or eat dinner around the campfire.
Yep, that's right Mr. Rubber Duck is reading the water temp as almost 80 degrees! It was so much warmer even just a week later!
We picked up some visitors at the dock later in the afternoon (Marc, Amy, Dave and Susie). They floated around with us and we even came up with some more possible camping trips to take place in the future! Our group is gradually growing!
Right before dark we put the boat back on the trailer and returned to our campsite to relax a little bit before dinner. Our neighbors, Griff and Vaughn came out to gobble up some sausage dogs on the grill with us and some late night s'mores! We eventually all went to sleep and slept until about 6:30 because Adam wanted to get onto the lake first thing while the water was smooth. So by 7:15 both Adam and my brother had taken turns wake boarding before most campers had even rolled out of their tents. We were back at our site by 8:30, cooked eggs and biscuits with the campground fire and then packed up and headed home.
