Blowing Rock, NC

Our camping trip was quickly nixed due to the local weather conditions of rain and the possibility of snow. It didn't really sound appealing to camp with icicles or wake up to a tent full of water, so we quickly changed plans and headed to Blowing Rock to stay at The Crippins B&B. We had a wonderful time enjoying happy hour at Six Pence Pub in downtown Blowing Rock and later eating some of the best food ever at Crippins. On Sunday, we slept in and enjoyed breakfast in bed and then visited my sister in Boone. Before we left to go down the mountain we had some chili at Our Daily Bread with our friends, Josh and Jenna Cash. It was a short, but eventful weekend up in the mountains. We had to take our time coming down the mountain due to the snowstorm that was traveling with us back to Raleigh.
