Will has stayed busy this last week between grandparents, aunts/uncles and his daddy. This morning while AP was running in the KK race, Marshall and Blair watched him and took him to the park.

Next, he went to the boat show with AP and then to lunch with the Blinds at Cooper's BBQ. We had one tired boy when he came home. Now that he is rested, he is off to have a sleepover at Granny's house tonight!

Adam "Parker" Pfanmiller arrived Wednesday, January 25th at 8:20PM. I was thankful to be induced a week early considering he was 9.14lbs!!

The nurses could not believe how puffy and chunky he was after he was delivered!

These Boots Are Made for Sleeping!

Some children sleep with loveys and/or blankets. My child sleeps in his rain boots. Here is the funny part, he retrieves them out of his closet once we have left the room each night. Will even does this for nap time as well.

We are so proud of him! He transitioned to his big boy bed with zero problems and sleeps through the night (he sleeps a few hours on his bed, a couple on the floor and then back to his bed- but hey, he is sleeping! No complaints here!) Adam was prepared to camp out with him, if he was uneasy about the new situation, but we have learned that Will is so adaptable and acted like he had done this a hundred times before! yay! Can't wait to see how he responds to being a BIG Brother in the next couple of weeks!

Diapers and Wipes for #2

I was literally surprised for the first time in my life the other night. I walked across the street for our monthly Bunco night and instead walked right into a surprise DIAPER shower for Mr. Parker. It was awesome! We had breakfast for dinner, chatted until almost midnight and then went home with diapers and wipes galore! Thanks again ladies for the wonderful surprise and all the love!

Mitten Time!

Our NYE celebrations have certainly changed now that there are so many tots running around the neighborhood. The Nobles were nice enough to host a bonfire for several families. The kids roasted marshmallows, blew their horns and ran around the yard with their glow sticks.

We were thankful for a wonderful year in 2011, however, with a new baby arriving soon we know 2012 is going to be even better!

We are now official members of the Life & Science Museum in Durham. So, while AP was on vacation we made a family trip to explore and show dad this cool place! We started off with a train ride and then checked out all of the butterflies in butterfly house.

Will enjoyed watching the coy fish swim around. Maybe he picked up some techniques to show off at his swim lessons in April?!

We ended the day by playing on the playground and making some music! We are so glad to be able to visit this museum as often as we want to this year! Thanks MiMi and B for this Christmas gift :)

Santa came to our house! Will was in awe when he walked into the living room and saw all of his goodies from Santa. He would go from one thing to the next and touch them. Afterwards, we got dressed and went to my parents' house for brunch and presents.

Between his new kitchen set, ride n' dig truck and this John Deere weed trimmer, we have one HAPPY boy! Thank you everyone for spoiling our little guy this holiday!

After laying around for majority of the afternoon, Granny and Grandpa Pfanmiller joined us for Christmas dinner at Mom and Dad's house. It was a perfect holiday and it was nice to be all together!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent with the Pfanmiller Pfamily at Granny and Grandpa's house. Marc and Amy gave him this dig n' ride truck and he was in love right away! Check out his expression as he notices that the sit lifts up too! Precious!

We stopped after opening a few presents and then went to the "Christmas in a Barn" service at Page Farms. We went last year and loved the atmosphere of actually sitting on a bale of hay in a barn, with cows mooing, the pastor standing in a trough all while listening to a Christmas sermon.

We went back and had a nice dinner and then finished up opening presents. Check out little man's cowboy boots! They are the tiniest things I have ever seen!

2 Stops and 1 Party

Friday night we went out with Marshall and Blair. They brought dinner over and then we visited the Lone Rider Brewery. Both the boys have gotten into brewing so they were excited about learning more about the brewing process and tasting some new local beer.

Next, we stopped at Roth Brewery before heading to our friend's 30th birthday party.

They hosted a Tacky Wacky Christmas Party for Josh's 30th birthday.

A Christmas Tree, Santa Mouse and Rudolph all were in attendance!

What a fun night! Surprisingly, this pregnant momma made it until midnight with 2 brewery stops and a party all in one night...whew!

Thank you Create! I have finally started putting my knitting loom to use. It was purchased over a year ago at The Got to Be NC Festival and I finally started using it! So far I've made Will some hats and hope to do some big brother/little brother matching sets, but in the meantime I'm knitting newborn hats to drop off at the hospital when we go in to have Parker.

Pullen Park Play Date

We met Jen and Caitlyn at Pullen Park on Monday for a play date. The kids explored the caboose, rode the carousel and train and then played on the playground. The big highlight was riding in the kiddie boats at the very end! Will was so proud of himself and we'll definitely have to go back and show AP his boat driving skills!

He couldn't decide whether to ride the horse or the lion...whew! Tough decisions these days!

Tea Time- Round 5!

Its our annual tradition for the 3 Kelly girls to have holiday tea together during the month of December. This year, we branched out and away from local tea shops and visited The Washington Duke Inn instead. We all enjoyed our late lunch, tea and spending time together! So glad we have this tradition because I know we look forward to it each year!

Last year, MiMi and Will decorated a gingerbread house and she wanted to do the same again this year with him. Thankfully, she bought this awesome gingerbread house at the Junior League Shopping Spree, where it is reusable and easy to clean. Looks like they might be making Valentines and Halloween houses as well.

This child has visited with Santa more times than I can count this season! However, we couldn't pass up one more visit with Sandy Claus (family friend of the Pfanmillers) since Susie and Dave were out of town the weekend of the NH tree lighting. Will warmed up pretty quickly after lots of high fives and even towards to end he appeared to be quite sleepy while on Sandy Claus' lap! Glad we can end our numerous Santa visits on a high note!

One birthday party + 3 Christmas parties = 4 big events for this little guy!

He did fabulous at all of them. We started off our Saturday by celebrating Maya's 2nd birthday. It was a low key party with lots of great brunch food. We came home and napped and then raced out the door for our 3 holiday parties that afternoon/evening. Our neighborhood had a Christmas social down at the pool where the kids could visit with Santa, make ornaments and drink hot cocoa. We were lucky to be first in line and obviously, our visit was short and sweet because Will was not a fan of the big guy! Next, we went to Will's playgroup party where the McGowans had all the families over. It was cute to see all of the kids in their festive attire and watch the dads mingle and get to know each other. (As we were leaving, Adam stated that he made another beer brewing and possible wake boarding friend...I told you this group was awesome!) Our final party was hosted by Adam's boss and his wife. By this point, Will was wound up and being encouraged by other co-workers by their constant attention and other antics. We had a wonderful Saturday and were thankful to spend it with so many great people!

All Aboard the Santa Train!

Pullen Park is open after being closed for almost 2 years. With lots of remodeling and new additions, they introduced their very own version of the Santa Train this season. We bought tickets back in August and were thankful that we did because it sold out all four nights. MiMi and BK treated us to a night of Christmas fun and then dinner at Mellow Mushroom!

It took us a while to get to the park due to inefficient shuttle service, however, once inside the park gates, the were little to no lines for anything! Our first stop was for hot cocoa, popcorn and some other holiday treats and then we boarded the train.

Next, we all rode the indoor carousel. Luckily, there was a carriage that both Mom and I rode in and took pictures of our boys :)

Hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season as much as we are! This weekend we have some more holiday fun planned :)

Playgroup Friends!

Thankfully, I met some other young, first-time moms at the local library about a year and half ago and a playgroup was formed. What a great joy it has been! Together we meet up for weekly play dates, attend field trips, organize family parties, birthday parties and even monthly ladies' nights! Most importantly, all of these young ladies are helpful, supportive and willing to lend a hand or ear in a time of need. This spring the group will grow from 9 toddlers to 9 toddlers and 5 more babies....yikes!

This is Zach and his smile is contagious! He is always happy!

Jake loves trains and is a great big brother to little Maggie!

Molly is one of the two girls in the group, but she holds her own! She has quite the personality and is very smart! We all LOVE those curls!

Check out this stud! Liam is always sharing with others and will play with anyone. He is going to be a big brother this spring.

Talk about SWEET! This is Lily and she is just precious! Right around a year-old, she already knew all of her letters and colors! Watch out world LB is coming through!

Don't let this look fool you :) He may be cautious at first, but Will has the best giggle and enjoys chasing others. This boy loves his momma and Winnie the Pooh!

Ian is the most laid back of the group. He loves to be outside and is always content no matter the situation (It can get VERY loud and wild at times when all 9 are together!).

Alex loves to be outside and play on playground. He has a dog named CoCo that he sometimes brings with him to the park. His friends get excited and love playing with both Alex and his doggie.

Sugar vs. Nap

Last Friday we came home from playgroup and as I made lunch, I noticed that I had received a Facebook update from Gigi's in Brier Creek. They were giving away free cupcakes in preparation for their big grand opening the next day. So Will and I gobbled up our lunch and headed over for some SUGAR! Nap time can wait- Gigi's can NOT! ha :) At checkout we said the magic word "swirling" and off we went to devour the sweetness!

Riding through the Meadow Lights

We are really getting into the Christmas spirit around here! We've already had a couple visits with Santa, attended the parade and then last night we traveled to see the Meadow Lights. With Will really into trains this year, we figured it was worth the drive to ride a "choo-choo" through the Christmas lights and we were right! He loved it and his head was on a constant swivel taking it all in!

Next, Will rode the carousel and when it stopped he asked for "MORE!" and before you knew it, B came back with another ticket for his grandson to ride it again! This time AP rode with him and smiled the entire time :)

We ended the evening by browsing through the Candy Barrel store and then eating dinner at Smithfield's for some yummy, southern BBQ!

Gobble and Wobble

This year we pretty much ate well the entire Thanksgiving break. We spent actual Turkey Day with the Kelly's where we deep fried another bird and gobbled down at dinner.

On Friday we continued our feasting by grilling out at Dave and Susie's with the rest of the Pfanmiller clan. Between giving Kramer continuous hugs and being pulled in the laundry basket, Will was in heaven!

We were also able to visit with Aunt Jane and Grace over the break as well. Thanks for coming to Raleigh for Thanksgiving!

Coat - check! Sweater vest-check! Hat-check! Thanks to MiMi, Will had a new Christmas outfit to wear to the North Hills Tree Lighting this past weekend. Surprisingly, he actually wore the matching hat for majority of the night :)

We picked up MiMi, BK and Aunt Amy on the way, ate a Five Guys for dinner and then watched as Santa (aka Sandy Claus) lit the tree and wished everyone a Merry Christmas!

The Perfect Parade Weekend

We continued our annual tradition of going downtown and watching the Christmas parade with the other 86,345 people! We were glad we got there early because it got crowded fast!

After the parade, we walked down to Snoopy's for lunch and then Will and myself took a 3 1/2 hour nap!

It's hard to believe that Christmas will be here in a month! And then shortly after that Baby Parker will be arriving!

MiMi took us to lunch and then to see Santa at the mall Friday afternoon. Will wasn't scared and sat right on his lap- we were shocked at how composed he was!

Day Off With Daddy!

AP had Tuesday off from work so we did a little yard work in the morning and then had some fun later in the day as a family. Will watched as Adam blew all the leaves in the backyard.

We ate a super early dinner and then went down to Marbles Museum for Target Tuesday nights. For those of you that may not about this event, it only costs $2/person from 5-8pm every Tuesday night. Will showed his Daddy all the cool exhibits and raced to each activity.

He could have stayed at the train tables all night, but there was other things to do!

Like walk a dog that actually listens to you or...

deliver pizzas on a bike!

On the way home, we visited with Uncle Marsh and walked up to Krispy Kreme for dessert. And guess what? The "HOT" sign was on!!

This little guy gobbled up his sprinkled doughnut and even ate some of Adam's ice cream. It was a great way to end our fun day!

Running down the OBX!

We just got home from a wonderful vacation in the Outer Banks. We rented a house in Duck with the Hepps and Page families for the OBX half marathon on Sunday. Mike, LJ, Carie, Adam and Mrs. Hepp all ran the half with amazing times! Jon Page was the all-star for running 26.2 miles under 3 1/2 hours!

Jodie, Sondra and myself were the cheering section at the finish line with all of the kiddos! The kids did great and were so well behaved while waiting for all of our runners to run past. They ate lots of snacks, held signs, cheered, petted dogs and ran around.

The course ends in downtown Manteo right on the waterfront. They had lots of family friendly events taking place and beer and BBQ sandwiches for all of the runners. While the runners recovered and stretched, the kids were able to visit the playground and check out the boats at the marina.

The house was great! We loved having the play set in the fenced in backyard!

A big highlight on Monday was the trash truck. Will was so excited that Adam said his heart was beating so fast when it arrived at our house. The little things in life!

Obviously, the water wasn't too bad and my son was content swimming his clothes. We took the kids down to run around, look for shells and build sand castles before heading home that day.

The pregnant mommas...Jodie-13 weeks and myself at 30 weeks!

The kids warmed up in the hot tub (or warm tub because we turned the temperature down quite a bit) and then they played on the swing set one more time.

We had a great time and were so thankful to be invited on another OBX trip! It was also neat to see how well all the kids played together and how much Will loved having constant interaction with his peers.

We've been busy, but the camera hasn't been used much lately. My husband always sarcastically states that we haven't done anything "bloggable." I think we are all just recovering from the numerous Halloween activities, Will's cold and just sitting back and enjoying the fall weather.

This past weekend, we were pretty busy visiting with friends, neighbors and family. Friday night Will visited the Grimes family where the big boys played cars with him for an hour straight. He loves going over there and they are great babysitters for our little man! Saturday was called "Out of the Pews Day"at our church, where different teams completed various community service tasks throughout the Raleigh area. Adam joined the "Keeping Wake Warm" team, where he helped chop and deliver firewood to the needy. Later that night we dropped Will off to spend the night with Granny Pfanny so we could go to a friend's oyster roast. We were able to visit with old high school friends and even agreed to start a monthly supper club! fun times! Sunday was spent at church, napping and then a spontaneous potluck dinner with some neighbors!

This week, Will has a few play dates, but we will otherwise be using our time to pack for the Outer Banks for 5 days! AP is running a half marathon on Sunday with some friends! Go, Daddy Go!

Will's Costume Party

As you can tell from my child's numerous costume changes that I love Halloween. I think its a fun holiday to celebrate by dressing up, eating candy and getting together with friends. Will hosted his 2nd Annual Costume Party for his neighborhood friends Sunday afternoon. They all came dressed up for the event and nibbled on lots of SUGAR!!

My little dragon (his least favorite costume) just waddled around in the yard, swinging his tail and eating numerous chocolate covered pretzels!

We were so glad we rescheduled it for Sunday afternoon due to rainy/cold weather on Friday. The kids were able to play together on the swing set, eat lots of treats and the parents were able to socialize on the deck. Happy Halloweenie!

Halloween Spooktacular!

Halloween isn't complete without the whole family dressing up! Our church hosted their annual BBQ and Fall Festival on Saturday. We went there dressed up and then traveled downtown to Marshall and Walker's Halloween Spooktacular party.

Our little Dalmation and Mr. Penguin checking out the graveyard in the backyard. Will loved being center of attention at the party, however, the smoke machine was a big hit. He would dance and crawl through the smoke with excitement!

We left early and visited with Aunt MoMo and Lauren as they were getting ready for the shindig. It was a late night for our little pup, but he did great and feel asleep on the way home!

NH Halloween Festival

One of the local libraries hosted their annual "Halloween Hoot" this past week. My little cheeseburger went with his friends on Thursday morning. They listened to Halloween stories, danced to the "Monster Mash" and then trick-or-treated around the library.

Will's play group had a field trip to Page Farms on Monday. Half of the kiddos dressed up in costumes for the occasion. Adam took off from work so he was able to come with us and see Will's friends again.

The farmer took us on a hay ride through the barn where the kids were captivated looking at all of the huge cows up close. He even fed a baby calf a bottle while we were there. Then it was off to the hay tunnel, horse swings, hay maze and choosing that perfect pumpkin.

Adam's cousins were still in town, so we raced home for lunch and then took them out on the boat before they caught their plane back to Kansas. Our little pirate was content in his costume and looked quite appropriate on the boat with it still on. What a fun day!

Day 2 - Lake Lure

Saturday morning, I joined my family as walked through downtown Chimney Rock, ate at the Riverwalk Diner on the river and then hiked Chimney Rock.

Let's just say with it being 472 steps to the top and being almost 7 months pregnant, I definitely earned my round of applause by my family and various strangers as I reached the top! It was worth it because the view was amazing.

Day 1 at Lake Lure

Our best friends, Ashley and Kelly tied the knot this past weekend at Lake Lure. We took advantage of this fun destination by leaving bright and early Friday morning to explore this small mountain town. Will stayed with Granny Pfanny for the night, so we could attend the rehearsal dinner and have a little fun Friday evening.

Marshall and Blair tagged along with us this weekend before the rest of the Pfanmiller/Kelly gang arrived for the rest of the wedding festivities!

The fall leaves and mountains around the lake were beautiful! We also couldn't have asked for better weather the entire weekend!

Twilight Tales

ROARRRR! Our little lion sported his first Halloween costume at our library's Twilight Tales. On the way, we stopped and visited with BK and MiMi to show off our hairy mane and ferocious roar!

Balancing and Jumping!

Will has continued with his gymnastic classes this fall. Its amazing how his coordination, strength and balance have improved over the last few months. Last week was very special because not only did Granny Pfanny attend his class, but Daddy was able to come watch as well.

Adam and Will did the foam pit slide over and over!

One minute he is swinging from the bars, the next minute he is jumping on the trampoline or going across the balance beam! He is in constant motion the entire 45 minutes we are there!

This past weekend Cameron Village hosted a Playhouse Tour in which all 12 playhouses were going to be auctioned off for the All Children's Playground here in Raleigh. Will was able to explore all of them as well as meet Muddy the Mudcat, pet baby chicks and visit with Cotton the Clown.

Aunt MoMo made sure Will was gentle with the chicks :)

The most popular playhouse was the pirate ship. Will loved tossing the gold coins from the treasure chest overboard.

Friday Fun with Friends!

We spent Friday morning visiting the ducks and turtles with Lexi, Grady and Cole. Will enjoyed the bread and oreos as much as the animals!

Afterwards, we spent some time on the playground before meeting daddy at home for lunch!

Fire Station Field Trip

Today our play group had its first field trip to a local fire station. The fire fighters quickly learned that this group of toddlers was simply there to check out the fire trucks!

All the moms and tots watching the firefighter put on his gear.

Will liked sitting on the front and back of the truck the best. He didn't care for driving the truck or wearing his fire hat that Capt. Mike gave the group. I would say that this field trip was a success. With 12 toddlers there was both squeals of delight and fear, however, I think every one of them found something that they enjoyed!

Our next field trip is to the pumpkin patch!

Cockroaches, Crocodiles and Turtles

Will and Caitlyn visited the animals at the Museum of Natural Science on Monday. They both sat through story time and were entertained by all of the animals that were presented. Will was brave enough to touch a cockroach....yuck! We also had a picnic lunch after exploring all 4 levels.

Our neighborhood celebrated Oktoberfest again this year! We were able to enjoy a pig pickin', beer from Lone Rider brewery and a huge bounce house for the kiddos.

My brother hosted another dinner party Friday night. We had chicken/steak kabobs and still managed to leave a little room for dessert. Marshall wanted us try out a place within walking distance called Piebirds. BK and Adam stayed behind with Will and got him dressed in his pjs, while Marshall took all the girls to eat! :)

Picnic with Daddy

Fall is here and it is perfect for picnic weather! We met Daddy at work last week we had a great lunch outside his office. Will continues to be such a great eater. His latest favorite are nutella sandwiches-messy but yummy!

Afterwards, Daddy took us back into his office to visit with all of his co-workers. Within 5 minutes, he was running all around and giving everyone high-fives and fist bumps!

Who needs the State Fair?

Not us! Will rode the carousel, train and other rides on Monday afternoon. No lines. No tickets. No hassle!

He waved at all the other mall shoppers as he rode by.

We ate lunch at Chickfila and then visited the animals at the pet shop. The snakes were being fed, the bunnies hopping around and the cats were roaming. Will preferred the huge, stuffed dog the best and even gave it a kiss as we were leaving.

You can't beat this cheap entertainment!

Where in the World?

Last Friday night, we went downtown to the International Festival at the Convention Center. We met up with Rodgers family and explored all the booths, food vendors and watched lots of dancing! Will chowed down on two spring rolls and then was ready to explore!

The kiddies really liked playing with all of the decorative hula hoops. Even AP and Mr. Tim showed off their moves!

Lexi danced along with the dancers with her twirly skirt beneath the stage. The Brazilian dancers had beautiful costumes!

We ended the night by painting canvases. Grady and Lexi made colorful pictures, while little man "painted" with his brush beside them. He really thought he was being a big kid, but this momma knows better than to give him real paint. We are only at the watercolor stage right now!

We went back again this year to pick out our pumpkins at Hillridge Farm.

Will was big enough this year for the tunnel slide!

We spent a lot of time in the hay barn! Lots of jumping and tumbling took place inside :)

It started to rain as we picked out our pumpkins. We were lucky to spend 2 hours there before the rain began. On the way out we saw the Hess family. Wyatt and Will are going to have so much fun together as they get older. Afterwards, we had lunch out and then it was nap time for everyone! We love our weekends!

Teddy Bear Picnic

Will and his teddy bear went on a play date together last week. Will's friend, Grady hosted a "Teddy Bear Picnic" for some of his friends where everyone brought their own teddy, made bear ears and ate teddy cupcakes. Will had a blast seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new friends as well.

Take it to the Track!

Our neighborhood had a themed play date called "Trikes on the Track" and all the kids were encouraged to bring something with wheels to push or pedal around the Brier Creek track. Will brought his car and chose to push it rather than ride it while we were there.

Will and Grady played hard together on the playground afterwards.

Doesn't he look so big here? Miss Tina put Will on Grady's bike and he was so proud of himself for just sitting up on it. Check out that bashful smile! This might be a great item to put on his Christmas or birthday list!!!

Rocco-Style Dinner Party #2

My brother hosted another one of his Rocco-style dinner parties this past Tuesday. He just moved in with his best friend downtown, while renting out his townhouse to Susie and Dave. Its located inside Historic Oakwood with a toddler park within walking distance.

Will helped MiMi and BK pick out fresh vegetables at the Farmer's Market last Saturday. Adam was at the lake for a guys weekend, so MiMi and BK took us to brunch last weekend.

We went home for naps and then later in the afternoon we walked around downtown Wake Forest. MiMi, Aunt MoMo and myself did some shopping at the Lemon Tree and had smoothies at a nearby bakery. Little guy was a trooper and had fun hanging out with some of his favorite girls!

Daddy Time

Daddy is the first person Will wants to see each morning when he wakes up! Sometimes AP has already left for work so that leaves me with a sad boy on my hands repeating "Dadda" until he sits down to eat breakfast. Adam has been great about making sure to have some "Will time" when he gets home from work because it brings a HUGE smile to little man's face!

Will loves to go on evening walks with his Dad and Bella.

AP had a little helper when he was washing the boat last week.

After being at the lake for a guys weekend, Adam made it home just in time to take Will to Pump It Up for a birthday party on Sunday. They both came home very tired, but I know they had a great time together :) I love my boys!

One Busy Boy!

Will has been one busy boy lately! He continues to love his gymnastics class where a few buddies from playgroup attend as well. Liam and Will were having fun jumping on the squishy mats.

He hasn't quite figured out the balance beam yet, probably due to a lack of patience. However, he does enjoy crawling underneath it or sliding off it.

Foam pit is still a huge hit, however, for this pregnant momma its not the easiest to get in/out off so it may be off limits in a few months.

We've also been going to "Tot Time" at Lake Lynn. His buddy Jake was there last week too! Will loved all of the riding toys and the tiny basket ball hoop was a bonus as well.

Last week, we had some time before Adam's softball game so we hit up the indoor playground at the mall. Will was content just sitting on some of the rides, however, his daddy quickly cashed in some quarters so he could actually "ride" all of the rides. We had one happy boy!

Strickland Park has opened up near us so we were excited to finally check it out. Will quickly made friends with a boy named, Gage while we were there. The two boys dug in the sand and went down toddler slides together.

I love my time at home with this little guy and particularly love taking him to different places and observing how he interacts with different people and different environments. He is so much fun!

Another BOY to add to the nest!

We had our family over to reveal the sex of the baby to them this evening. The inside of the cake was tented blue to share the news with the family. We are excited and need to get serious on making a list of names for this little guy!

Blue & Cue at the Zoo

This past weekend, we were baby-free for FOUR days! AP and I had a couple date nights and we traveled up to Blacksburg, Va attend the VA. Tech vs. ASU game with the Billers. Meanwhile, Will was with my parents down at Ocean Isle playing on the beach, eating Sunset Slushies and dancing at the beach music concert. After our pathetic loss to Va.Tech, we got up early to meet my parents in Smithfield (since they were on their way back from the beach) and picked up Will. Boy, did we miss this little guy! We got some snuggles and kisses and then drove a little further to Noah's Landing Zoo in Coats, NC. They were hosted their annual Blue & Que event. We ate some yummy bbq, listened to the blue grass band and met tons of animals!

Our friend Carie (her mom owns the zoo) was introducing lots of bugs to all the visitors. Kelly and Ashley came along too! See how excited Kel got meeting Milly the millipede!

We had a great day at the zoo and it was nice to be a family of 3 (almost 4) again!

One of Will's favorite parts was the music section where he did quite a few solo performances!

We look forward to going back for their annual Halloween Spooktacular-costumes, animals, decorations, Halloween-of course, we'll be there!

Running the Bases and Tumbling Tots!

We're back at the softball fields! Adam is playing on the church's softball team again this fall season. Will and I usually go if the games are early to cheer on daddy. Little man has a blast running all over the park, playing ball with other little ones and eating popcorn from the snack bar. After the game on Wednesday night, Will was determined to put on AP's cleats...he was so proud of himself!

Also this fall, Will is participating in his first gymnastics class at North Raleigh Gymnastics. He thoroughly enjoys the freedom of exploring, climbing, bouncing and running the entire 45 minutes we are there. His favorite two things to do are the trampolines and the big foam pit! He just jumped right in and had a blast rolling around with all of the foam blocks....too funny! (This picture was at the very end, when he had to sit on the step to receive his sticker...the only time he was STILL!)

Last Beach Trip of the Season!

Last week, Will and I made our first road trip together to the beach. We couldn't pass up the opportunity of one last beach trip before the summer ended....so off we went! We were also able to convince some friends to come and play with us for a couple days while were there too!

The Kiefer girls came down on Sunday and we hit up the beach, playground, Sunset Slush and Sharkey's for dinner. Will had a blast playing with all of their dolls, princesses and girlie toys while they were there.

In between visitors, we had a couple days to ourselves where we walked along the boardwalk in the marsh, went shopping and had some "Mommy and Will" time at the beach.

This little monkey was so well-behaved and an awesome sleeper while we were there :)

Next, the Hepps rolled into town! The kiddos had fun playing with the trucks on the beach, watching Ms. Jodie fly the kite and eat ice cream before dinner on Thursday night!

You've Got a Minute to Win It!

I dread shower games more than anyone, however, so we hosted a fun shower and hilarious games for our friends, Ashley and Kelly's "Stock the Bar" party here at the lake. First, up was potato sack relay races!

We divided into 4 teams and put a potato down one leg of a pair of panty hose and tied the other leg around our waist. Each person had to do a few pelvic thrusts to push their ball to the end and then pass it off to the next person. All 15 of us laughed so hard with this event!

Game #2: Take It to the Face!
Each person had to place a cookie on their forehead and work it down to their mouth.

Adam and Grandpa Dave were very serious competing in this event

Game #3: Mad Dog!
Kalin and Will raced to see who could empty their tictac containers the fastest while they were taped to the end of a ruler. Perfect event for these two!

Game #4: A Bit Dicey!
This took serious concentration, but Kate and Adam handled the pressure well. They both were able to place a popsicle stick in their mouth and balance the dice on top of each other.

Game #5: Baby Blockin'
Place a plate on your head and try to stack 5 baby blocks....not as easy as it looks!

Game #6: Noodlin' Around
We raced boys vs. girls to see which team could slide 4 penne pasta noodles onto their spaghetti noodle.
Game #7: Caddy Stack!
We determined that this game needs more determination than we were willing to give....oh well. Stacking 3 golf balls was not the easiest task to complete.

Overall, the games were a hit, the shower was awesome and the whole gang had tons of laughs!

Marbles with Mimi and Mommy

Last Friday we took Will to Marbles downtown to run inside the A/C and boy, did this child LOVE this place!

He would run from exhibit to exhibit with excitement!

He loved driving Mimi in the ambulance, squirting the hose on the firetruck and cruising around in his sports car.

Hiking with a Tot

We try to get out once a day to do something fun (play date, park, museum, pool and etc.) Yesterday we chose to visit Blue Jay Point Park. It backs up to Falls Lake, so we see it from the water all the time, however, it had been awhile since we had been on the other side. Will started off on the playground where everything was very HOT to touch. He didn't care and insisted on going down the tunnel slide over and over!

After some playground time (and lots of sweating!) we hiked a quick trail down to the water.

It was only a .2 mile trail, however, it took us a hour to complete it!

Little stuff had a blast picking up sticks, looking at leaves and throwing rocks into the lake. I love that I am able to stay at home with this sweet boy!

Can't go shopping and out to lunch in Cameron Village without stopping by our favorite cupcake shop! MiMi took us out to lunch at Cafe Carolina and then we hit up Gigi's Cupcakes for dessert. This time they had little mini cupakes - perfect for the little man!

He demolished two in about .2 seconds!

Then we visited Peace College where MiMi went to school. She wanted to visit the bookstore and purchase some t-shirts before it changes its name and turns co-ed this fall.

We walked around the campus while MiMi pointed out her dorm rooms.

Take it to the Rock!

We have made some great friends in our neighborhood over the past 5 years. One of our favorite families moved to Rock Hill, SC a couple years ago and we have remained in touch by visiting each other about twice a year. The Krugs hosted us last weekend and we all had so much fun watching the three boys play together!

Saturday morning, we went to the neighborhood splash park before it got hot. We all had fun in the water and it was the perfect activity to wear out the little ones.

This was the best picture I could get of the three boys! Thanks for having us Krugs! We especially loved all of the food (cupcakes at the top of the list!). Can't wait to see our Rock Thrillers again soon!

This past weekend the Goulds came to visit us in Raleigh. I forgot to pull out the camera, however, we had a great time with Kelly and Rob! Saturday we went out on the boat, laid out at our neighborhood pool and grilled out. Will's favorite visitor was their dog, Bailey. He loved having two dogs in the house to chase and play with :)

This weekend its our turn to do the visiting! We're going to see our old neighbors the Krugs! We can't wait to catch up and let all the little boys run around at their neighborhood splash park!

Two of our favorites are getting married in October! We hosted a party along with 3 other couples to celebrate Ashley and Kelly's engagement. Isaac Hunter's Tavern was a perfect location for the event and everyone had a good time.

Sunday was a busy day here at the Pfanmiller household. After church, we had lunch at Amy and Marc's along with Grandpa and Grandma Pfanny. Will went home for a short nap and then we raced off to a Playgroup Potluck. My friend, Jill hosted the family outing at her house and it was great to meet all of the husbands. Adam had fun watching Will interact with all of his little friends.

We then left for Caitlin's 4th bday at the Rainbow Room. Will had a blast running around with his neighborhood buddies, climbing up ladders, throwing balls and being pushed in the swing by his daddy.

We conquered the strawberry patches this past spring, so next on our list were the blueberries!

I saw this farm advertised on facebook and it was within 10 minutes of the house, so off we went!

We had high hopes to rent a canoe or a paddle boat on Tuesday since AP had the day off, however, Lake Crabtree only rents them out on the weekends. Oh well! Little man didn't know the difference and was content running along the beach, jumping in the water and checking out all the boats along the shore.

Our Red, White and Blue Weekend

Over the 4th, we went to SML and rented a houseboat for the weekend to celebrate Adam's 30th and Dave's 60th birthdays. Even Uncle Bruce, Aunt Sheri and Big Will flew in from Kansas for this event. Staying on the houseboat was definitely an experience! We had a blast hanging out on the top deck, sliding down the slide and watching the fireworks from the roof!

Life jacket on and off we go! Will tubed a couple weekends ago at Falls Lake for the first time with both of us on his side. He did such an awesome job that his daddy went out and bought a kids ski trainer...can we say excited?!?!

Adam and our good friend, Jodie are both turning the big 30 next weekend so of course that called for a celebration! Mike and I threw a surprise party at the Ale House by inviting the neighbors, a few close friends and our siblings. It was a very simple, but yet fun party!

The Pages joined us for sushi and then someone casually mentioned that we should all grab a few after dinner drinks. Little did they both know that 30 people were waiting for their arrival!
Both Amy and Morgs were tremendous help by arriving early and helping with the decorations!

The Naked Beach Monster

Wet and Wild Times

Will and his friends ran around WILD and splashed around in the pool during our Woodlawn play date.
He thinks he is hot stuff now that he can climb up the play set ladder!

We continued to stay WET this week by visiting the Sprayground with Tina and Grady. The place wasn't that crowded, so the boys had fun playing with trucks in the pool and moving the huge water guns.

Camping with Kids!

5 tents, 8 kids, 24 hot dogs and 50 water balloons = one awesome, family camping adventure! The weather tried to ruin our second attempt at our neighborhood camping event, however, the rain stayed away and we had a very successful camping weekend! All the dads set up camp on Friday after work and had a guys' night. They said they ate like kings and went out on the boat the next morning. All the kiddos came out after naps for family-style camping on Saturday.

This was Will's first time camping and he did GREAT!

Here the kids are doing a craft with Tina (also referred to as the "Mary Poppins of Camping"!) Between her crafts, water balloons, scavenger hunt, read alouds and prizes, all the children were entertained!

Austin just held onto his balloon with this huge smile on his face- so precious!

We also celebrated the twins' 3rd birthday with some yummy cupcakes!
He slept in his pack n' play the whole night and then snuggled with us early in the morning. He had lots of kiddos waiting outside the tent for him to get up. We look forward to doing this again with our neighbors this fall, especially since all the kids went to bed so easily and the adults were able to enjoy a late evening sitting around the fire.

Summer is Here!

The heat and our pool time have both increased over the last week and its only the beginning of summer! Last week, Will's friends came over for playgroup. We decided to have "water" as our theme, so out came a couple pools and the water table.

They gobbled up snacks and splashed around.

Friday night, we had the Billers and Wingates over for a cookout. It was nice once the sun went down and we could sit outside on the back deck and watch all of the doggies run around in the backyard.

Saturday, AP took Bella and Will on a long run, while this momma slept in! Yahooo! Afterwards, we grabbed coffee and biscuits and went and chose our campsite for the upcoming Woodlawn camping event...take 2 (hopefully no storms this time!) The rest of the day consisted of car washing, dog washing, pool splashing and lots of napping for all 3 of us! We ended the day by getting together with our small group from church, called "Table of 8" at Goodberry's for dessert. Will loved chasing the other kids around the fountain and eating his dripping ice cream cone!
